Gatorland Waterpark
August 11th, 2006—Lighthouse Creative is master planner and designer of the new Florida themed Gatorland Waterpark. In a design-build contract with Sparks the team has developed unique water attractions that reflect aspects of Florida’s rich wildlife and themes. The project will open in March 2007. Miles also acts a park design consultant within the company’s planning group.
Treasure Coast Children’s Museum
August 11th, 2006—Recently Lighthouse began work with Sparks on the internal design exhibitry of the Treasure Coast Children’s Museum at Jensen Beach- Stuart, Florida. The firm is involved with the design of exhibits that include a 61’ long 16th century Spanish galleon, an underwater submersible interactive, and an Indian settlement. Lighthouse is also designer of the Phase 1 exhibits and planner of the internal layout of Collier County’s prestigious Museum of Transportation at Naples that opened to the public in February, 2006.
Taebeck Safety Park
August 11th, 2006—Overseas within the past year or so Lighthouse has been involved in the park planning and concept development of the Taebeck Safety Park, Taebeck, South Korea, in a shared design and planning mission with EDSA. Also with EDSA Lighthouse contributed to Real Madrid’s new entertainment-sports complex at Barajas, Madrid, Spain.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Miller Beer Party Deck
August 11th, 2006—The recently opened Tampa Bay Miller Beer party deck on the southwest end of the stadium at Tampa, Florida is our third promotional project for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lighthouse has also been working for the Glazers on an as-yet-to-be announced attraction project close to the Raymond James stadium. Chris Miles was also design director for the huge pirate ship at the other end of the stadium when at HOK.
